Meet Eric Rozak

We love Texas. We love Mansfield. In Texas for 52 years. My family are Texans. We have lived in Mansfield for the last 24 years. Our 3 children were born here, now all in college, have enjoyed the comforts of a small town, but with so much extra that you can quickly find in our DFW area.

I am in no way a Politician. Like most of you, I've kept my head down, worked hard and do my best to provide for my family.

So why run for City Council?

My wife Lynn and I both own small businesses in Mansfield. I operate Viridian Construction and Lynn is owner of Sunshine Yoga Shack in Historic Downtown. Along with everyone else, we have watched and felt this communities' growing pains. So much is happening, yet we are falling behind on infrastructure, safety, and schools. 

With all the development and planning going on, I couldn't help but notice that there appears to be no one on the current council, or running for council, that has any level of construction experience noted on their resume. Many questions I have for the many developments and timelines have gone unanswered. It is a work in progress, yet the city is spending millions without a decisive plan.

Growth is inevitable and smart managing of that growth is key to bringing everyone along together and ensuring our city, residents, big and small businesses alike, equally share in the prosperity.

Small businesses are being decimated by high rents and unclear development plans. It seems to be too much too fast. We need to ensure that everyone here in Mansfield has the opportunity to live and work in a way that helps ensure prosperity for everyone and every business.

What is in the pipeline is amazing. Mansfield will continue to be an awesome community to live, eat and play in... but if we don't address the issues confronting this growth now, it will likely be detrimental to the future of Mansfield.

I am 6'8" 265lbs. and yes, I did play Basketball. I am a graduate of Arlington High School class of 1990. I have chosen to build my family in the South Arlington and Mansfield areas since then. 

I continued my sports endeavor a little longer attending Tarleton State and Weatherford Jr. College. Later transferring to UTA and earning an Associates in Arts degree with additional studies in Business Management.

Being self-employed, I have spent years traveling the Country for construction and insurance work, taking in all this wonderful Country has to offer. But Texas has always been home.

I, along with my eldest son, earned a Black Belt in Tae Qwan Do and competed as a 3-time National Champion...so I know hard work and discipline.

I work to try and do a little more for those I can help, in business or personally. We are all a community and we all should continue to strive for better for all.
